I’ve always been an action-taker…
My corporate journey began as an admin to a consultant who turned out to be horrible at selling. Like, really bad at selling. Recognizing an opportunity, I took over his sales and got good at selling — like, really good at selling, creating messaging, hiring designers and building out all his assets. Needless to say (but I’m gonna say it) the right people noticed, I was recruited by a major tech advisory company, and I was off to the races!
There I used my affinity for creating sales tools to create a path where there wasn’t one, building out a marketing communications department and ultimately creating a marketing machine that did the business and then some.
So, you can imagine my all-consuming rage frustration when I was passed over for a digital marketing role. Realizing I’d hit a glass ceiling, I left.

I spent several years foraying into entrepreneurship, opening a photography studio and shooting everything from private portraits to musicians for magazines to solo and group shows.
But, the need for a “real” job again surfaced and I ended up back at my company, this time as VP of Product Development, where I was hand-picked by the CEO’s right hand to work with him on launching products — and grew our first product from 0 to $32M, with over 50 people under me. I was back, grinding away and making loads of money for…other people.
Then I found myself facing a whole new kind of transition, leaving my marriage, taking care of my elderly mother, navigating menopause and raising a teenage son. I ran headlong into burnout and knew something had to give.

I currently live on the East end of Long Island with my partner of 8 years, our 2-year old Lab mix, Gracie, and our blended family of adult children and ex-spouses. And when I’m not helping women entrepreneurs, you can find me whipping up spicy international dishes in my chef’s kitchen, curling up in front of the fire with my man (we met on OkCupid — it does work!) and taking long beach walks with my besties.
